Coastal Craft: Where did you get your start and why?

Brian Anderson: I got my start in surfing in 1984 after watching the Op Pro Curren vs Horan. I found a board at a garage sale and started surfing behind a boat since I lived 3 hours away from the ocean. I was hooked.

CC: Where are your board shaped and sold?

BA: My boards are shaped at my shop in Gearhart. I sell Boards through Seaside Surf Shop and custom orders.

CC: What’s your go to board to shape and surf in the PNW?

BA: My go to boards for summer are Longboards  Midlengths and fishes. In winter its Step Up boards ranging from 6 0 to 7 8 s.For the PNW in summer i surf 9 2 longboard and a 5 9 fish. For winter I like 6 0  to 6 6 step up round pin tail
